I love getting to build relationships with my clients. I got to work with this beautiful mama in San Diego when she was pregnant with her sweet boy. We bonded over her gorgeous curls and how I should stop straightening mine, and the fact that we were both from 'the 805'. I was so excited to work with her again for a motherhood photoshoot back on our home turf. We planned a sunset photoshoot at Oxnard Shores beach, which had meaning to her from when she live there and when she got engaged. We focused on snuggles, baby details, and even some breastfeeding shots to document that special bond. We had the most perfect evening with soft sunlight and gorgeous puffy clouds, just missing the torrential rain storm that came in that night. After the photos were delivered, she said they looked like they belonged in a story book, and I completely agree.

Mommy and me photoshoots are a favorite of mine because moms are seldom the one in front of the camera. They remember to capture everyone else with their babies, often referred to as the family photographer, but so rarely get the chance to have a beautiful photo with their children. A photoshoot with just mom and her kiddos is the best way to pamper her and preserve those special moments with her babies.
