One of the things I cherish most about my work is building relationships with my clients. I first met this beautiful mama during her pregnancy with her sweet boy while I was living in San Diego. We bonded instantly over her stunning curls (and how I should stop straightening mine!) and our shared roots in 'the 805'. So, when the opportunity arose for a motherhood photoshoot back on our home turf, I couldn’t have been more excited!

We planned a sunset session at Oxnard Shores beach, a location with so much meaning to her. It was where she once lived and the place where she got engaged—truly a backdrop filled with memories. During the session, we focused on capturing snuggles, baby details, and even some beautiful breastfeeding moments to document that special bond. The evening couldn’t have been more perfect, with soft sunlight, puffy clouds, and just enough luck to miss the torrential rainstorm that came later that night.

When she received her gallery, she said the photos looked like they belonged in a storybook, and I couldn’t agree more.
