Hey mamas-to-be! So, you’ve got that beautiful baby bump and you’re ready to flaunt it at the beach? Girl, you’re going to look stunning! But, what should you wear for that perfect maternity photoshoot? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered with some beach outfit ideas that’ll make you glow even more!
Remember, the most important thing is to wear what makes you feel confident and comfortable. This is your moment to shine! I am here to guide you and if you have any questions or need advice, please let me know!
1. Neutral Flowy Dresses:
First up, let’s talk about those gorgeous flowy dresses! Think soft, neutral colors like ivory, beige, or sage. These dresses not only look dreamy, but also allow your bump to take center stage. Plus, they’re super comfy and perfect for that beach breeze.
2. Form-Fitting Knit Dresses:
Show off your curves in a form-fitting knit dress! Choose a stretchy fabric that hugs your bump in all the right places. Opt for solid colors over patterns for a timeless look. Pair it with a denim jacket or a breezy kimono to catch the sunlight. This outfit is both comfortable and flattering, perfect for showcasing your beautiful baby bump on the beach!
3. Two-Piece Bare Belly Outfits:
Show off your bare bump in a two-piece look - whether it’s a knit or crochet set, a fitted knit skirt with a matching top, or a flowy boho skirt paired with a bralette, or crochet boho robe paired with nude bottoms. You can go totally coordinated or mix and match your textures and tones depending on the vibe you love. When it comes to color, solid shades tend to photograph best and keep the focus on your beautiful bump.
This style is comfortable, flattering, and perfect for those dreamy beach maternity photos that really celebrate your growing bump!
4. Short Dresses:
Go for a cute and flirty short dress that hits above the knee! Look for light and breathable fabrics like cotton, linen and sheer fabrics to keep you cool. A flowy silhouette with ruching can accentuate your bump beautifully.
5. Bikini & Bathing Suit Tops:
My personal favorite! I always encourage my mamas to wear a second outfit and show off their belly. I personally regret not getting professional photos with my belly showing while I was pregnant with my son. This is probably why I love this styling so much! There are plenty of styles to fit your changing body, from triangle tops to sports bra style tops and full coverage bottoms to something a little skimpier if you prefer. Add a cute cover-up, kaftan, or kimono for some extra fabric to catch the sun and hide any areas you're uncomfortable with.
6. Jeans with Sports Bra or Crop Top:
Not comfortable wearing a bathing suit? For a more casual, laid-back look, opt a pair of unbuttoned jeans with a comfy sports bra, bathing suit top, or crop top. Add an oversized 'boyfriend shirt' or kimono to catch the wind and sunlight.
