This gorgeous couple drove up from Hollywood for their maternity session, and they were such a joy to photograph. Their connection was effortless, and they brought such a calm, grounded energy to the shoot. We had one of those perfect evenings in Ventura - warm, glowing, and golden. This is my favorite beach, dunes covered in tall grass that sways in the breeze, and the sky lit up with soft orange light as the sun set. Birds were flying overhead, and from the top of the dunes, you could even catch a glimpse of Anacapa Island in the distance.

Mama-to-be wore the most beautiful white crochet dress that fit in naturally with the setting, letting in peeks of sunlight that highlighted her silhouette and baby bump. For her second look, she changed into a white crop top with jeans to show off her bare belly - a favorite maternity go-to. Both looks fit the beach setting so well and allowed her to move, connect, and feel fully herself.

I always encourage mamas to wear outfits that make them feel beautiful and comfortable while also showing off that incredible baby bump. Jeans with a sports bra, a skirt with a crop top, or an open belly dress - there are so many fun combinations that let you stay covered where you want to be, while still celebrating the magic of this season.
