Why maternity photos really matter...

So, let's chat about something super close to my heart: maternity photos. I'm Tiffany, your go-to for all things family, maternity, and motherhood photography here in sunny Ventura, California... Golden sunlight, beachside giggles, and sun-kissed adventures—that's what drives me, capturing those raw, real moments filled with love and laughter.

Here's the thing—I totally get it. When I was expecting my son, I found myself in the same boat as many of you. Between preparing for the new arrival and working in a demanding corporate job, the idea of squeezing in a maternity photoshoot seemed like just another item on an already overwhelming to-do list. I didn't feel like I had the time to prioritize maternity photos.

Looking back now, I wish I had hit pause on the chaos and prioritized those maternity photos. All I have of this once in a lifetime experience are a handful of phone snapshots capturing my growing belly for my weekly app updates. Not print worthy and they don't even come close to capturing the magic of that time. I missed out on having those professionally captured moments that I could cherish forever.

That's why I switched up my career and focus on maternity photography, to make sure you don't make the same mistake I did. I'll take care of all the details, so you can focus on what truly matters: soaking in every precious moment of this incredible time in your life. So, whether it's a beachside shoot or a golden field you're envisioning, I've got you covered. We will create memories together that you'll treasure for a lifetime.

A Few Common Questions

When is the best time to book?

I recommend we schedule your session somewhere between 28 - 35 weeks of your pregnancy. Things to consider before booking your session...

  • Due to high demand, I often book out 2-3 months in advance. Make sure you reach out about your session before you enter your third trimester.

  • The earlier you are showing, the earlier we should book your session. You'll want to be able to show off your growing belly in your photos, but also be comfortable walking around. You'll want to make sure you book your session when you feel you will be showing enough to show off.

  • The closer your session date is to your due date, the more risk you take that something unexpected might happen, like needing to reschedule for weather, or your little love making an early appearance and missing out on your maternity session.

Feeling your best for the session

Trying to adjust to your changing pregnant body, isn't always easy for everyone, but not to worry. I am here to make sure you feel your best.

  • We will chat about any insecurities you might have, and make sure we show off your favorite parts of your new body.

  • I prefer to leave all the honest pieces of the story when I edit. I don't usually edit out things like stretch marks, but if you would like me to edit anything out please let me know at your session.

  • I am all for capturing your beautiful bare belly, but your comfort is my priority, so if you prefer not to show much skin. You can use my style guide to help you choose the perfect pieces for your session.

  • I specialize in capturing the most flattering poses and angles for my maternity mamas. I will guide you through the entire session to make sure you look your best.

Who can come to the session?

  • This time is so special for your whole little family, so I always want you to feel welcome to bring your older kids and partner to the session.

  • Sometimes there isn't a partner, or a partner can't attend for whatever reason. Please don't let that stop you from booking a solo session. These are actually my favorite! A support person is always welcome to join as well.
